A wireless camera pick that shows the ear canal on your phone

A wireless ear pick with a lit camera in the tip, showing the ear canal live on your phone so you can remove visible wax without working blind.

USB rechargeable, with about 30 minutes of use per charge.

It is a cleaning tool and not a diagnostic device: it cannot tell you what anything is, and pain, discharge or hearing loss should be seen by a clinician rather than inspected at home.

Ear Cleaner with Camera

The problem with cleaning your own ears is that you cannot see them. Everything you do is by feel, which is why people push wax in rather than getting it out. This tool puts a small lit camera in the tip and streams it to your phone, so you can see the wax, see the tool, and stop when the wax is gone.

Ear Cleaner with Camera

It charges by USB and runs for about half an hour of continuous use, which is a great deal longer than any sensible session. Standby is around twenty days, so it is usually ready when you pick it up. The tips are moulded plastic in several sizes, shaped to sit at the opening of the canal, and they are replaceable.

Ear Cleaner with Camera

The camera changes what you can do safely, but it does not change how far in you should go. Work only where you can see wax, which means the opening of the canal. Wax further in is impacted, and impacted wax is a job for a clinician with proper suction, not for a longer reach at home.

Ear Cleaner with Camera

It is worth being clear about what this is not. It is not a diagnostic device. Seeing your ear canal on a screen tells you what it looks like, not what is wrong, and an image of an inflamed canal or a dark patch is not something to interpret yourself. Pain, discharge, hearing loss, or anything that worries you belongs with a doctor or an audiologist.

Ear Cleaner with Camera

Some listings for this style of device suggest using it to look at mouths, noses, throats and skin. We sell it for ears, because that is what it is shaped and lit for. And do not use it at all on an ear that is sore or discharging, or on anyone with grommets, a perforated eardrum or previous ear surgery.

Not sure yet? That is fine.

You can change your mind. Under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) you have 14 days from delivery to cancel for any reason, and a further 14 days to send it back in resaleable condition. We refund the price you paid, including standard delivery.

If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. The EU sale of goods rules (Directive (EU) 2019/771) covers you, we pay the return postage, and you can have a repair, a replacement or your money back. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a video otoscope?

A slim camera on the end of an ear pick, so you can see what you are doing on your phone instead of working blind.

How does it connect?

Over its own wireless signal to an app on your phone. There is no cable between the tool and the handset.

Does it work with my phone?

It works with current iPhones and Android handsets through the app. Check the app listing for your operating system version before you buy.

How long does the battery last?

About 30 minutes of continuous use, and roughly 20 days on standby.

How do I charge it?

By USB. A full charge takes well under an hour.

What are the tips made of?

Moulded plastic, shaped to sit at the opening of the canal. They are soft-edged so they do not scratch.

How many tips come with it?

Several, in more than one size. Check the listing photos for the exact count in the current pack.

Are the tips replaceable?

Yes, and you should replace any that are cracked or deformed.

Can I share it?

Use your own tips. Sharing tips passes infection between people.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the tips with warm soapy water and dry them fully. Do not submerge the camera body or the handle.

Is it waterproof?

The tip end is splash resistant. The body and the charging port are not, so keep them dry.

Does it have a light?

Yes, there is a light beside the lens so the canal is lit for the camera.

Can I record what I see?

The app shows a live view and can take a still or a clip, which is useful if you want to show someone.

Will it diagnose an ear problem?

No. It is a camera and a cleaning tool. It cannot tell you what anything is, and a picture of your ear canal is not a diagnosis.

Should I use it instead of seeing a doctor?

No. If you have pain, discharge, hearing loss or anything that worries you, see a clinician. Being able to see the canal does not replace someone who knows what they are looking at.

Can I use it on my child?

Only as an adult operating it, with great care, and only for wax plainly visible at the opening. For anything else in a child's ear, see a doctor.

Can I use it on my pet?

No. It is designed for human ears and pet ear canals are a different shape.

What is it for besides ears?

We sell it for ears. Some listings for this type of device suggest other uses. We do not, because those uses are not what it was designed or tested for.

How far in can I put it?

Only as far as you can see wax, which is the opening of the canal. Never push it in beyond that.

What if I cannot see any wax?

Then leave it alone. Ears clear themselves most of the time and there is nothing to remove.

Will it remove impacted wax?

No. Wax impacted deep in the canal needs a clinician. Do not go digging for it with a camera pick.

Does it hurt to use?

It should not. If you feel pain, stop and take it out.

Can I use it if my ear is sore?

No. A sore, discharging or infected ear should be seen by a doctor, not explored at home.

Can I use it with grommets or a perforation?

No. Do not put anything into an ear with grommets, a perforation or a history of ear surgery.

How often should I use it?

Only when there is visible wax bothering you. Regular poking irritates the canal.

Is the image good enough to see clearly?

Yes for the canal opening and visible wax. It is a consumer camera, not clinical imaging.

What is in the box?

The camera pick, replacement tips, and a USB charging cable. Check the listing photos for the current pack contents.

Is there a warranty?

It is covered by the standard consumer guarantees that apply to any product sold in the EU. If it arrives faulty we will put it right.

Is this a medical device?

No. We sell it as a personal ear care tool for home use and we make no clinical or diagnostic claims for it.

What is the delivery and returns position?

Free delivery across Europe on orders over EUR 50, otherwise a flat EUR 22. It is a stock item, so you have the full 14 days to change your mind.

Buying Guide

The problem it solves

The difficulty with cleaning your own ears is that you cannot see them. Everything you do is by feel, which is exactly why people push wax inwards rather than getting it out, and why a tool you cannot aim is a tool worth being careful with.

This puts a small lit camera in the tip and streams it to your phone. You can see the wax, see the tool, and see when the wax is gone. That is a real improvement in safety over working blind.

Using it

Charge it by USB. A full charge gives about thirty minutes of continuous use, which is far longer than any sensible session, and it holds standby for around twenty days so it is usually ready when you pick it up.

Pair it with the app, choose a tip that sits at the opening of the canal, and watch the screen rather than your hands. Work only where you can actually see wax. Move slowly. If it hurts, take it out.

What it is not

It is not a diagnostic device, and this is the part worth being clear about. Seeing your ear canal on a screen tells you what it looks like, not what is wrong with it. A red patch, a dark shadow or something you were not expecting is not something to interpret yourself. Pain, discharge, bleeding, hearing loss or anything that worries you belongs with a doctor or an audiologist.

Being able to see further in also does not mean you should go further in. Wax deep in the canal is impacted, and impacted wax needs a clinician with proper suction, not a longer reach at home.

Some listings for this style of device suggest using it to look at mouths, noses, throats and skin. We sell it for ears, because that is what it is shaped and lit for.

Who should not use it

Anyone with grommets, a perforated eardrum or previous ear surgery should not put anything into the ear at all. Do not use it on an ear that is sore or discharging. On a child, only an adult should operate it, only for wax plainly visible at the opening, and anything else should be seen by a doctor.

Looking after it

Wipe the tips with warm soapy water and dry them fully. Do not submerge the body or the charging port; the tip end is splash resistant and the rest is not. Replace cracked or deformed tips, and keep your own rather than sharing them.
